EVALUATION

The following factors are considered while evaluating the competency levels of candidates:

AN EXAMPLE FOR WELDING TRADE

1. THEORETICAL CAPABILITY - (10 %)
   
   Knowledge of:
   • Welding machines
   • Electrodes
   • Tools
   • Welding torches
   • Safety precautions
   • Welding processes

2. BEHAVIORAL VALUES - (10 %)
   • Practice of safe working habits
   • Safe handling of tools
   • Optimizing material consumption
   • Co-operation levels
   • Courtesy to superiors

3. PRACTICAL ABILITY - (80 %)
   • Setting up equipment to fuse or cut metal
   • Manoeuvring of welding torch / electrode in the weld groove at the desirable travel speed and angle.
   • Welding performance at the desired position
